Reservation Fiasco on Global Arena.
Time is running always running against your dreams. I had a major exam of my life at july end and I also want to read/write tons and tons of blogs. Anyway, I will try to write as much as I can.
This time because of reservation fiasco, our country is in international news. I mean, a coverage by TIME, Economist and Businessweek about the internal political issue of india is a written testimony of India's Global presence. The links are provided in the last. However, it's really sad that this had finally been decided. I mean, I could not even imagine the situation would look like. 50% QUOTA in IIT/IIMs and other premier institutes. I guess, there should be a QUOTA for the 'general' class because now, with all the reservations in place, 'general' would definately be in 'minority'. Wow, Good Concept after all! Why don't we fight for it. May be it could act as a stimulant for another 'burning issue' to our politicians.
Anyway, the implications in all the three following articles are sad particularly sad and bad for India. The implications range from socio politic to economic.
Economist on INDIA' Reservation.
TIME on INDIA's Reservation.
BusinessWeek on India's Reservation.
MUST READ ( If you are concerned for this matter )
The damage done to our socio economic framework by this policy is incalculable, that is for sure. However, for our country, who is going to avenge this heinous deed. 'Justice is more than Revenge', so what 'justice' do we seek now [ After getting betrayed already ].
Anyway, this policy is sure going to open new 'justifiable' reservations for other lower castes. Long Live Congress for it's amazingly cruel decision for our country.

One way out for this government which got into the reservation mess is to start one IIT. one IIM, one AIIMS and name them RIIT,RIIM,RAIIMS and you know R stands for RESERVED. Only these 3 institutions will get students and that too all reserved I mean 100%. All other institutions will be freed from Reservation Chakar Vyug. Further, Government must ensure that faculty and staff in these RIIT, RIIM and RAIIMS are strictly from Reserved Category drawn from SC ST Backward, Other Backward and whatever vote Bank government deems fit. If required Government can start special companies called RXYZ which will exclusively go for placement to RIIT,RIIM and RAIIMS and recruit them.
The above solution will appease both the pro quota and anti quota segments. Whoever told Knowledge is Power Supreme is Wrong and whoever says Caste is Power supreme is Right.
Good one, CamelPost. Also, there are numerous instances of cases when a 'netaji' needed a surgery and moment 'netaji' learned that the doctor is a from reserved category, an SC, 'netaji' simply refused to undergo a surgery.
Whole hospital went upside down and a non reserved category doc was found out for 'netaji'.
I believe, the Engs grads from these RIITs should make the house of these 'netas', Docs from RAIIMS should treat them in their 'good times'.
